Ninhydrin
Purpose
Ninhydrin belongs to fingerprint product, which can develop sweat fingerprints on porous surface.
Working principle
Ninhydrin reacts with the amino acids in the fingerprint to produce bluish violet colored fingerprint on a light-colored background.

Method
Dissolve ninhydrin in ethanol or other organic solvent to prepare a solution. Saturate the exhibit with the solution or spray the solution onto the exhibit. After the solution volatilizes, put the exhibit into a plastic bag, blow in as much moisture as possible and seal the plastic bag mouth. At room temperature, the fingerprint will occur within 24 hours. Place the exhibit in the ninhydrin fuming chamber. In a temperature of 60°C and relative humidity of 80%, the fingerprint will occur in about 10 minutes.
